So yeah we just got back from Australia after showing our jewellery at Fashion Exposed: Debut. We won the award for best accessory label 2010. In the meantime here is some sweet press that came through while we were away...

We get asked how we make jewellery all the time so here is an explanation...

First we carve the designs in wax or make them from silver (for the Protea ring below, we tried both ways but went with the metal one). 

We then send them to get cast at a casting company where the wax gets packed with plaster. They heat the plaster which vapourises the wax then the hot metal is poured into the cavity and out comes the first casting which we use as the master. 

A rubber mould is made from the master and the above process repeats for each piece we make. After we get our castings back there are many sanding, drilling, soldering, stone setting and polishing processes and it is all finished. 

Our new collection has just been released to the press, here are some pics from our photo shoot. This collection will be in stores early September.
