We have been working hard making some ceramic skull jewellery boxes. They are available here to pre order, delivery will be first week of December. Available in black, white or lilac.
The head lifts off and there are 2 separated compartments for jewellery. Each skull comes in a wooden crate like box and the skull is protected by lilac shredded paper (as well as bubble wrap for safe delivery). There is a nouveau style letter-pressed gift card and envelope inside too. Order here!

So yeah we just got back from Australia after showing our jewellery at Fashion Exposed: Debut. We won the award for best accessory label 2010. In the meantime here is some sweet press that came through while we were away...

EAT LOVE, we just got this great book by 'eating designer' Marije Vogelzang. We have had this book marked for about a year and then found it today in Floatsam & Jetsam. I highly recommend it for an interesting view and beautiful presentation of food.

After her graduation from the Design Academy in Eindhoven in 2000 Marije Vogelzang has been designing eating concepts. Her interest is in the verb ‘to eat’. Not only does she think deeply about what is on the plate (if there is a plate at all), but she also thinks about everything that surrounds the act of eating. The atmosphere, the people involved, the stories behind the ingredients, the taste and texture, sound, smell and colour of food and the way it is prepared and served. She explores the intimacy of design that actually goes inside your body and follows the journey of food from seed all the way to poop.
Thinking about all this and working and experimenting in her studio and restaurant and by creating eating experiences for her clients she has developed her own unique way of looking at eating from a psychological, cultural and design point of view.

And here is some recent press from Entertainment Weekly in the US, featuring Rose McIver. Rose is an actress from New Zealand who has a main role in the upcoming film The Lovely Bones directed by Peter Jackson. We are really excited about this movie, it's a really good book and it will be cool to see how they have a main character who is actually dead. 

We have been all over the country selling our new collection and a highlight was the Yayoi Kusama exhibition in Wellington, it was AMAZING and if you get the chance to see it, go!

Gin Wigmore commissioned us to make her massive knuckle duster and here it is on the on the front page of the entertainment section in todays NZ Herald. It is sterling silver with rubies set in the crown. The bottom photo is a bit rough sorry, it was taken while the ring was in progress.
